“Who is your favourite live DJ? ‘Saffrolla’ “

Adrian Josey a.k.a DJ Saffrolla Ninja Tune Solid Steel DJ has had the experience of playing alongside and support some of the best dj’s and artists acts out there such as Mr Scruff, Guru, Dj Food, Dj Vadim, Mr Thing, Hexstatic and Coldcut on his  European and  UK band/DJ tours he’s been seasoned to a tour life on wheels, with regular DJ trips all around France, Spain, Sicily, Japan, Eastern Europe and UK.

His DJ set offers an eclectic mix through the genres and bpms- sprinkling and mixing in Dub, Latin, Hip Hop, Ninja Funk, Breakbeat, Electro,Drum`n Bass and a general assorted mish-mash of beats, with a record collection comprising of two decades of vinyl collecting. It reflects a style which keeps morphing, making his technique and sound flexible and fitting for most clubs and their patrons,

Saffrolla has co-produced and released 2 albums with Pest on Ninja Tune and Now Releases  numerous singles and E.P ‘s on His own label Saffrolla Sounds and a Newly developed label called Disc La Tik (Disklatik.net).

After holding residencies in Hoxton’s Cargo, Herbal, 93 feet east Brick Lane and Ginglik aswell as Regularly providing mixes for Solid Steel Radio (which goes out roughly 30 stations World Wide you can check his archived dj mixes at www.solidsteel.net aswell as at www.saffrolla.com) He still has some time for a “party party party!” 4 deck mix with DJ Shorty,  together they are called Rollin Funda which they take west to the Ginglik.
